Shenji Chronicles

During the Ming Dynasty, low-ranking soldier Xiao Jia faces deadly ambushes from the Eastern Depot and Japanese pirates while delivering cannon blueprints before the Great Taizhou Victory. Seeking revenge for her family's massacre, Xie Jinjin gets caught in the crossfire. As blueprint rivalries, personal vengeance, and an arms scam intertwine, Xiao Jia keeps his promise to deliver the schematics, and Xie Jinjin slays her enemy, helping the Qi Army defeat the Japanese pirates. Telling a story of patriotism through everyday figures, its multi-strand narrative subverts traditional hero tropes to launch an original animated series on resisting Japanese pirates.
