Curious Tales of a Temple

The film weaves five classic supernatural tales—The Master of Laoshan, Painted Skin, and Nie Xiaoqian among them—through the framing story of Pu Songling, who is trapped in an ancient well by two spirits at Lanruo Temple, forced to serve as their "storytelling referee".
